Examination & Promotion

    Promotion Criteria

    • The pass mark in each subject is 40%.

    • Grades are awarded based on the child’s performance in curricular and co-curricular activities.

    • Promotion is decided on the basis of the student’s overall performance throughout the year, including examinations and tests.

    • A medical certificate does not guarantee promotion to the next class.

    • If a student is absent in part or whole of an examination, the required marks must be secured in the other examinations held during the year.

    • The decision of the Principal regarding promotion shall be final.

    Continuous Assessment

    • To keep learning stress-free in the early years, student performance is assessed continuously.

    • Assessment is carried out through class tests and worksheets during each academic year.

    Examinations, Tests and Progress Report

    • The school conducts the following major examinations during each academic session:

      • September / October: Half-Yearly Examination

      • February / March: Annual Examination

    • In addition to the major examinations, Unit Tests and Periodic Tests are also conducted.

    • Details of these tests are available in the School Activity Calendar.

    • MCQ examinations are conducted every year for students of Classes IV to IX and XI to strengthen reasoning ability.

    • Marks obtained in tests are included in the grand total of the examination.

    • If a student remains absent in any test or examination, re-examination will not be conducted.

    • Students using unfair means in tests or examinations will be suitably punished.

    Progress Report
    • The student’s progress report is discussed with parents or guardians during Parent-Teacher Meetings.

    • These meetings are usually held on the second Saturday or on another fixed date after every examination.

    • Parents are also shown a detailed monthly report of their ward on the scheduled dates.

    • A soft copy of the Half-Yearly Examination report card is provided to parents through online mode.

    • A hard copy of the final report card or marksheet, along with the school magazine, circulars, book list, and fee card, is handed over on the Annual Result and Prize Distribution Day.
